Montessori Centre International (MCI) is the largest Montessori Training Centre in the UK.  Over the past twenty years, more than 20,000 students of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities have trained at the college in central London. Having always recognized the need to ‘spread the word,’ MCI has become a world leader in Montessori Distance Learning maintaining high academic standards. 

Follow the Child Montessori Teacher Training College has been offering essential lectures and workshops as a support structure for MCI Distance Learning Students since 1990.  With our international backing and key local experience we are able to offer students an Early Childhood Montessori Diploma with strong career opportunities both locally and worldwide.

Follow the Child offers various course options, commencing January 2010:

The MCI Early Childhood Course is designed to train students wishing to become teachers of the Montessori Method for children from two and a half to six years of age. The overview of important educational philosophies provided by the course, together with a detailed study of the Montessori philosophy and approach, enables students to construct a coherent set of educational values. Students are also instructed in the use of the teaching aids designed and applied by Maria Montessori.

The South African National Diploma in Early Childhood Development is offered by Follow the Child as a separate Montessori-based teaching course for those students wishing to obtain only a valid  local qualification, or as an aligned course for the MCI students wishing to ensure that they have both a locally- and an internationally-accredited qualification.

An Upgrade Course is available for previous MCI students who wish to add the local Level 5 qualification to their Diploma.
