As Montessori educators, it is our responsibility to provide professional, meaningful and accurate assessments of each child’s progress and development for both oral and written feedback to parents. We invite all Montessorians to join us for a general overview of how comprehensive observations and record keeping act as an aid to end-of-year report writing.
With a focus on interactive discussion sessions, this conference will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the different types of reports best suited to different age groups, and how to develop developmentally appropriate commentary that accurately reflects each child’s unique strengths and challenges. We will also explore the importance of setting up constructive parent-teacher meetings, and how to use your observations and record keeping to prepare for these meetings and effectively and constructively communicate with parents about their child’s progress.
Whether you are new to end-of-year report writing or looking to expand your knowledge and skills, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded educators and gain the tools and resources necessary to provide meaningful and accurate assessments of each child’s progress and development.
